Wine features

With Paniza Garnacha from slate we want to highlight the uniqueness of a flagship varietal: Garnacha, when it comes from slate soils. This wine talks about the most privileged vineyards of Paniza, those located in the areas where old vines dominate on slate soils. A wine of great elegance and complexity that presents an aromatic and juicy garnacha with fresh and mineral contributions.

Winemaking

After destemming and crushing, fermentation lasts 15 days. The fermentation is temperature controlled in stainless steel, with various pump-overs each day. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, followed by eight months of ageing in lightly toasted French oak. Once bottled, the wine continues to age in our cellars.

 

Tasting Notes

A bright, intense cherry-red color. Complex and elegant on the nose with aromas of candied cherries. Concentrated, yet silky on the palate, with a mineral base and notes of strawberries and chocolate. Its minerality and structure create a lengthy finish.

  • 16,5% ABV
  • Come from our 3,000 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of 800 meters.

    Its body and liveliness make it a perfect partner for braises, game, red meat and poultry. Serve between 60-66 degrees.
